The Aurora Group and Samsung become strategic partners to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve
The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) announced during the staging of the inaugural A1GP Algarve race earlier this year that it had signed contracts with Samsung, represented by Woo Soon Park and Filipe Carvalheiro, and the Aurora Group, represented by Marcel Sanders.
Paulo Pinheiro, CEO of AIA, explained that these two partnerships are of primordial importance to the circuit: “Samsung will be our partner in technological products, namely in the supply of CCTV, flat-screen televisions and white-goods. After a market analysis, we found that Samsung would be an ideal partner due to the high quality levels of the brand”, explained the CEO of the AIA.
Concerning the Aurora Group, whose main activity is directed at real estate developments in the Algarve, Paulo Pinheiro said: “They are a powerful company in terms of luxury tourism and will assist us in creating something that we want to be in the future – a ‘race resort’.
“These partnerships are mostly aimed at developing our driving school at the circuit bearing in mind that the Aurora Group already has a racing team and invests heavily in motorsports, and are looking to have the AIA as a reference for their brand”, Mr. Pinheiro concluded.
Samsung and the Aurora Group join other important existing partnerships such as Galp, TMN, Algarve Tourism, Portimão Town Hall and Red Bull.
